The national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, reported that directly, without citizen consultation, They will file a complaint against the 223 deputies who rejected the electricity reform.
“We cannot sit idly by”
At a press conference, he explained that this week the complaint that they will present to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) will be ready, but for a month they will collect signatures from citizens who want to subscribe to the lawsuit.
“We cannot stand idly bywe have consulted our lawyers and they agree that if we can file a lawsuit for the crime of treason against the 223 deputies who voted againstbut since we are an instrument of struggle and organization of the people of Mexico, we are going to accompany this criminal complaint with the people who want to accompany usWe are going to collect signatures so that there are thousands, hopefully millions of Mexicans who present this complaint and justice is done,” he declared.
The morenista leader recalled that on February 5, 2014, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador filed a complaint with the PGR against those who supported the energy reform of former President Enrique Peña Nieto.
“The article in which they support this complaint is 123 of the federal criminal code, which maintains that when acts are carried out against the independence, sovereignty or integrity of the Mexican nation with the purpose of submitting it to a person, a group or a foreign government , it will be considered treason against the country. Sorry, but there is no other way, noor is there another way to call those who voted against a reform that seeks the energy sovereignty of our country, more than treasonous to the Homeland “he asserted.
Delgado showed a survey by the Massive Caller house in which it is indicated that 61.5% of Mexicans believe that the opposition harmed Mexico by voting against the electricity reform, while 60% believe that it is correct that they be pointed out as traitors and traitors to the country.
“The judgment of history is relentless and the defense of sovereignty led by our President Andrés Manuel López Obrador must be very clear there. We are going to collect the signatures in two or three weeks, and within a month at the latest convene to present the complaint officially at the Attorney General’s Office,” he concluded.
