Fortnite is teaming up with the Coachella music festival in yet another partnership with a major real-world event. The music and fashion of the annual show is coming to Fortnite, as revealed via the Epic Games blogwith multiple items coming to the game.
Players can also listen to various tracks from the upcoming festival in the game, from artists such as Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Doja Cat, among others, via Icon Radio.
The partnership comes days after Sony and LEGO’s parent company KIRKBI invested $2 billion in Epic Games are metaverse and the partnership with Coachella is a clear example of bringing “the real world” to an online space.
You can now drive around the game and listen to music while talking to your friends… in Fortnite. While Epic Games has not said that Coachella shows will be coming to the game, they have previously performed appearances with Ariana Grande and Travis Scott.
The items coming to the game through the collaboration will be released in two parts, with the first wave of items already available, including the Wilder and Lyric outfits that can respond to the beat of the music, with accompanying accessories.

Wilder comes with the Finfin Back Bling (a neon shark) with also a Neon Biter Pickaxe and Finfin Flair Wrap. Lyric has the Swaguaro Back Bling (a rainbow cactus) with the Festival Shredder Pickaxe (a flaming guitar) which you can also get separately.
The second wave of items will arrive on April 21 with new outfits and items.
