Last March, unemployment withdrawals from the Afore reached 2 thousand 25 million pesosa growth of 7.3% in nominal terms compared to the same month last year, according to figures from the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (Consar).
According to data from the regulator, in the first quarter of the year, the provision of resources to face the lack of work from the Afore accounts accumulated 5 thousand 135 million pesosan increase of 0.7% compared to the same period of 2020.
Consar data show that last March, a total of 174,276 workers took part of their retirement savings due to lack of employment5,200 more compared to March 2021.
By Afore, Coppel recorded the largest amount of resources available, with a total of 447.2 million pesos. It is followed by Afore Azteca with 371.4 million pesos and XXI Banorte with 337.6 million pesos.
