By commemorating the International Women’s DayThe president of Mexico Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) affirmed that the left has remained at the forefront to promote the participation of women in public decisions.
“We can say that like Mexico there are no two in terms of women’s participation in public decisions, there is no other country in all of America with so many women in administrative positions or in positions of political representation, and our country is one of the most advanced in the world”.
In the central courtyard of the National Palace, accompanied by the head of government, claudia sheinbaum; the president of the Senate, Olga Sanchez Cordero; the president of Inmujeres, Nadine Gasmanas well as by governors, mayors and women of the “fourth transformation”López Obrador called to continue fighting for the economic and social equality of this sector of the population.
“We have to continue raising that as our main flag in the fight for justice, not staying only in the discourse, not staying in the rhetoric, in the fashions, in the new concepts, but to transform reality seeking that there is not so much inequality. in our country,” he said.
Despite the ban on disseminating government propaganda due to the electoral ban, AMLO stressed that social programs serve men and women to achieve a fairer society.
