It’s been over a week since it started Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. So far, the conflict has caused more than a million displaced people and although the talks continue between the delegations of both countries, the tension continues to grow.
This Thursday, Sergei Naryshkin, the head of the Russian Foreign Espionage Service (SVR) denounced that Ukraine was working on the assembly of an atomic bomb.
“Ukraine retained (from the USSR) the technical potential to create nuclear weapons and has more capabilities to do so than the countries of Iran or North Korea”added that “according to intelligence data from the SVR, Ukraine was working in that direction”.
According to the Russian president The United States would have been aware of this:
“Not only did they not oppose these plans, but they were ready to give the Ukrainians a boost, hoping that Ukrainian missiles with nuclear warheads would target not the West, but the East.”
Naryshkin accused the United States of wanting to impose a new “iron curtain” and try to “destroy our State” with the blockades that have been imposed on it:
“Since neither the United States nor its allies have either the possibility or the courage to try to do it openly and in an honest political-military confrontation, they viciously try to impose an economic, informational and humanitarian blockade.”
He added that all those who say that this is a new “Cold War” are wrong because the conflict is “pretty hot.”
