HOUSTON (AP) — Anfernee Simmons had 27 points, CJ McCollum added 26 and the Portland Trail Blazers saddled the Houston Rockets with an undesirable franchise-record 10th straight home loss with a 125-110 victory on Friday.
Jusuf Nurkic had 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Blazers, who had lost two in a row. Norman Powell finished with 16 points.
It was Houston’s third straight loss overall. According to STATS, the Rockets are the first team in NBA history to lose 10 consecutive home games by nine points or more.
Houston trailed by 12 midway through the fourth quarter before back-to-back 3-pointers by Christian Wood and Jalen Green cut the lead to 108-102.
Portland extended its lead to 125-110 with a minute remaining.
