The 31-year-old man was arrested and hospitalized for tests. Virginia native Morgan Mank was arrested in New York after driving the wrong way down a street in lower Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood before crashing his car into the residence New Yorker of American singer Taylor Swift. He then “got out of his vehicle, approached the building and tried unsuccessfully to force entry to a secure door”, details the police report consulted by AFP.
The police, however, did not confirm hostile remarks towards the 32-year-old star that he would have uttered.
This isn’t the first time the multi-award-winning pop star has been targeted by stalkers, “one of her biggest fears.” In 2019 in Elle magazine, she wrote that there were “enough stalkers trying to break into [elle]”, so that she feels forced to “prepare for something bad to happen”.
Another New York man, Roger Alvarado, has been arrested multiple times in recent years for attempting to break into Taylor Swift’s Manhattan home.
In June 2019, a suspected burglar from Iowa was arrested in Rhode Island, where the singer has a home, with a project and a baseball bat to “visit” him.
