This afternoon the arrest of Matías Alberto Álvarez Delgado, alias “El Viejón”, 40 years old, member of the criminal organization of the Pacific Cartel, after a search carried out by Agents of the Citizen Security Secretariat in the Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s office.
In the operation, the capital authorities managed to seize 42 kilos of cocaine arranged in partitions.
According to research, “El Viejón” received orders from a subject known as “El Águila”, dedicated to the transfer, storage and distribution of large amounts of cocaine from countries such as Ecuador and Colombia, which land on the coast of Guerrero, to be transferred to the states of Hidalgo, Tamaulipas and Mexico City.
“El Viejón” was in charge of coordinating the distribution of narcotics and cash to these entities, according to the SSC.
Its center of operations was a building located in the Cienfuegos Street, Lindavista neighborhood, Gustavo A. Madero City Hall, where 42 kilograms of apparent cocaine distributed in packages made of cinnamon tape, and two modified vehicles with hidden compartments were seized.
