The controversy surrounding Francisco Villa and the television station TUDN keep growing. Paco Villa became one of the most prominent sports writers on the television station and after he was forced to apologize for criticizing America, he could be absent for the coverage of the Mexican National Team.

This January 27 the Tri will face Jamaica as part of the FIFA date of the Concacaf Octagonal towards the Qatar 2022 World Cup; in Mexico, the transmission of the match will be exclusive by TUDN and part of the main narrators of the game was contemplated to Paco Villa, Enrique Bermúdez, Oswaldo Sánchez, Raúl Pérez, Rafael Márquez and Antonio de Valdés.

But a few hours before the event takes place, it was rumored that Villa would not participate in the narration and would be away from the offices of TUDN for a while. In the first instance, his problem with the television station was pointed out as the main factor for not narrating the Mexican National Team, however, it was the chronicler himself who gave details of his situation.

Due to a contagion by COVID-19, he would not be with his fellow microphones in the exclusive coverage of the television station. Through Twitter, he wrote a message in which he shared his diagnosis with his followers, although he did not specify whether or not he would narrate the Tri, due to his health situation and the protocols to prevent further contagion, he would be safe in his home and would be absent.

“One must be Optimistic, not Positive Undefeated for two years, but finally it was my turn. PS: Success in your return to narrate the Tri @Raul_Perez_Mi total admiration”

His publication immediately reached more than nine thousand “likes” and hundreds of messages with words of encouragement for his speedy recovery. In the same message, different network users questioned him about the truth about his alleged resignation from TUDN. And it is that after Ignacio Suárez, collaborator of Record, spread that Paco Villa would resign from the television station, the controversy of the subject increased.

Paco Villa limited himself to not giving more information about the controversy and did not respond to the doubts of his followers. As the versions of his departure from the television station increased, another collaborator of TUDN denied the idea that Francisco Villa had requested his resignation from the company.

Luis Omar Tapia made a post on Twitter and made it clear that the dissemination of the topic of Paco Villa was “an invention to generate traffic.” He showed his annoyance at how quickly the idea that the sports narrator would leave for having been forced to apologize to Santiago Baños went viral.

“I don’t usually answer this type of report. But I see myself in the obligation since @Paco_Villa_ He is a co-worker and friend. This is an irresponsibility of social communication and journalistic ethics, by not having information from a credible source. It is an invention to generate traffic”.

How did the conflict start? Paco village, the Dog Bermudez and Santiago Baños?

On the broadcast of the program line of 4 from TUDN last Friday, January 21, the sports commentators discussed the reinforcements that América signed for Clausura 2022 and in the absence of a right-hand drive, the Dog Bermúdez and Villa thwarted the management of the American sports president, Santiago Baños.

Among the comments they affirmed that “Bathrooms do not work” and repeatedly criticized the decision of the sports president with those of Coapa. The sportswriters later offered an apology on Twitter for the comments they made on the show and retracted the issue.

The fans accused TUDN of prohibiting sports journalists from having free expression and in social networks the issue grew until it became viral.

So far it is unknown what will happen to Paco village and TUDN, although due to his contagion of coronavirus he will be absent.
