Suddenly he was gone. During a walk with Arie Kessels through the woods in Swalmen, dog Seppie suddenly ran off. “I spent an hour looking through the woods when I found out that he had crawled down a rabbit hole,” Kessels tells the Limburger. He then called in the fire brigade. He also called his daughter Vivian, who owns the dog. She also came on site to lure the animal out of the rabbit hole with chunks.
Seppie, however, crept further and further into the hole, forcing the firefighters to dig a lot. Finally after more than an hour he was freed, thanks in part to Vivian’s voice, the kibble and the tenacity of the firefighters.
Father and daughter could breathe a sigh of relief after Seppie’s perilous adventure and were glad to have him back.
