A long gun and more than two thousand “possible fentanyl” pills are part of what was found inside the building where “Don Carlos” was found, one of the leaders and regional operator of the New Generation Cartel (CNG) arrested last Thursday in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
The Secretary of National Defense announced this Sunday that after the arrest “in flagrante delicto” of Carlos “N” It was possible to secure a 5.56-millimeter caliber assault rifle with a 40-caliber grenade launcher attachment in the building., in addition to three chargers for cartridges of various weapons.
Also, Sedena said through a statement, 2,500 pills of “possible fentanyl” were found, a synthetic narcotic up to 100 times more powerful than morphine, as well as a kilo of what was apparently methamphetamine.
A vehicle of which no characteristics were provided was also insured.
La Sedena reported that “Don Carlos” was arrested by elements of the Mexican Army, in support of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the National Guard (GN) within the framework of the National Strategy for Public Security and the Support Plan for that entity, as well as the “Zero Impunity” Policy of the Government of Mexico.
“As of January 10, 2022, various actions have been carried out to weaken the criminal group that operates in the state of Jalisco and among them, on January 20 of this year, Carlos “N” was arrested. The detainee and the insured were made available to the corresponding authorities., which is considered a significant blow to the structure of organized crime in the state of Jalisco,” Sedena said.
The apprehension, highlighted the federal agency, was achieved “without a single shot being fired or violent acts recorded”, thanks to the intelligence work of the various participating authorities to detect members of criminal organizations that generate violence.
“Given the actions of criminal groups in some states of the country and the problem of high rates of violence in that state, The Mexican State responds forcefully, with the reinforcement of the security deployment, through patrolling, reconnaissance, social proximity and security posts”, concluded the Sedena.
