For Life (2020-2021) was originally a series made by the American ABC, but ended up on Netflix in the Netherlands. It was recently announced that the series will not be renewed for a third season by ABC. Soon we will be able to enjoy the second season via Netflix.
The first two seasons were not watched enough by the American public, reason for the ABC channel not to renew the series. Leading actor Nicholas Pinnock announced this via a Twitter message. Despite the disappointment, he can still look back on the good time he had with a smile. Last summer there was talk of IMDb TV picking up the series, but unfortunately that didn’t happen either.
For Life is loosely based on the true story surrounding Iscaac Wright Jr. who spent years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. During his detention, he completed his legal training and was able to overturn the wrongful convictions of twenty of his fellow inmates before finally proving his own innocence.
