Pentagon: The United States has 8,500 soldiers “ready” for a crisis with Russia

The Pentagon has mobilized some 8,500 soldiers on alert and “ready” to deploy in Eastern Europe, within NATO, in case Russia invades Ukraine.

This was stated by the Pentagon spokesman, John Kirby, at a press conference, where he pointed out that the US wants to be ready for Russia’s movements and clarified that for now those US military do not have an assigned mission or deployment.
