The cabinet expects the staff shortage in the care and welfare sector to increase from approximately 49,000 people in 2022 to 135,000 in 2031 until 2031. Minister Conny Helder (Long-term Care and Sport) wrote this in a letter to the House of Representatives on Thursday.
