Two forest fires were fought this afternoon in the vicinity of the Bosque de La Primavera within the protected areas, the first in the Planillas area, in the municipality of Tala, and another in the area known as El Tecolote, in the municipality of Zapopan.
Brigade members of the National Forestry Commission (Conafor), Secretariat of Environment and Territorial Development (Semadet), Firefighters from Zapopan and Tlajomulco, They fought the fires in the two places from noon on Wednesday, extinguishing them at approximately 3:00 p.m.
The fire in Cerro de las Planillas, in Tala, left an affectation of 880 square meters of litter and grassland.
The state of force used in Tala was nine elements from Semadet Santa Ana, eight from Semadet 28, one element from Conafor, two from Civil Protection and Firefighters, and six from the Tlajomulco Forestry Brigade. They used three pickup trucks and a Semadet motorized pump.
In Zapopan, the fire was on the side of the highway to Nogales, in front of the now National Highway Guard base, there was only an area of less than 400 square meters, affected by dry grass.
No injuries were reported, nor other damages.
These two forest fires are the fifth and sixth in the Entity, according to Conafor statistics at the end of 2021, Jalisco is in second place nationally with 1,031 incidents and with an approximate affected area of 76,490 hectares.
Before these documented fires in 2022 there were four others with damage in an area of 30 hectares.
