AS Roma is the last club to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia, the Italian cup tournament. The Romans won 3-1 at home against Lecce, which plays in the Serie B.
In the first half, the team of coach José Mourinho still had a hard time with Lecce, who brutally took the lead after fifteen minutes. Arturo Calabresi, the only born Roman on the field, beautifully headed in the 1-0 for the number five of the Serie B.
Five minutes before half time, Marash Kumbulla equalized with an equally beautiful header for AS Roma, where Rick Karsdorp played the entire game.

In the second half, Roma put things in order. After a flashy combination Tammy Abraham scored the 2-1 and after more than an hour Lecce had to continue with ten men after a red card for Mario Gargiulo. Uzbek substitute Eldor Shomurodov determined the final score at 3-1 ten minutes before the end.
The other matches in the eighth finals of the Coppa Italia were already played on Tuesday. AS Roma must visit Internazionale in the quarterfinals.
