come back the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) from Madrid with a special version adapted to the coronarvius pandemic, with virtual and face-to-face events.
This year, FITUR’s message is that tourism must move forward and learn to live safely with the health crisis, something essential to continue leading economic and social development in this context of recovery.
It was also inaugurated by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, who made sure to visit the exhibitor of Morocco, in the midst of a long diplomatic crisis with the North African country.
Reyes Maroto, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of Spain:
“FITUR 22 undoubtedly represents the consolidation of our tourism sector as a leader, but we also want to make a commitment to the modernization of our tourism model. Being here today is a way of showing the world that you can travel, that you can do safely with the high vaccination rates in Spain. We can say that the economy moves when tourism does too”.
This 42nd edition of FITUR, are represented 107 nations and almost 7,000 companies. Some of the countries present are Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic, partner country of the fair this year.
