Boca Juniors and River Plate will meet on date 7
Less and less is missing for the return of Argentine soccer activity. While the teams continue with their preseason to get to the start of the tournament in the best possible way, the Professional League announced the days and times of the first days of the Cup to be held in the first semester.
This competition will have the same format as the tournament that Colón de Santa Fe won in June of last year, but with the addition of promoted Tigre and Barracas Central. That is why there are 28 clubs that were divided into two zones. After a round of all against all, the best four from each group will qualify for the elimination phase. In addition to the 13 matches of the first phase, there will be the interzonal date, to be held on the weekend of March 20, which will be paired with the so-called “classics”.
The knockout phase matches will be played in a single match at the stadium of the highest ranked, while the semifinals and the final will be played on neutral ground.
