The governor of the state of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, announced that as of Tuesday, January 18, the second part of the Cross-Border Vaccination Program will begin for primary and secondary school students who have already received the first dose against COVID-19 in Texas , United States, and is waiting for the second.

In addition, Alma Rosa Marroquín Escamilla, head of the local Health Secretariat (SSa), announced that new vaccination points will be placed in the entity starting Monday, January 17, where the booster dose will be administered to people of 40 to 59 years, as well as the application of the first dose for laggards.
Marroquín Escamilla explained that in the new inoculation centers second doses will also be applied for adolescents between 15 and 17 years old, as well as reinforcement for health personnel who are working in hospital centers in the entity.
Likewise, I indicate that in the group of laggards, people aged 60 and over who have not received the booster dose will continue to be received; second dose for people over 18 years of age, pregnant women and minors with comorbidities or protected.

“The vaccination points that we are going to be reinforcing: number one, vaccination for young people between 15 and 17 years old; number two, we will start tomorrow the third dose for adults between 40 and 59 years old in rural municipalities”
