Alianza Lima received good news prior to the start of League 1. It is that the Peruvian nationality process for Pablo Míguez came to fruition and the Supreme Resolution was signed by President Pedro Castillo. With this, the ‘blue and white’ team will have no problems registering their fifth foreigner.
The ‘Parakeet’ began its process in mid-August 2021 on its own account and will finally not occupy a foreigner’s quota in the ‘intimate’ table. Now he will focus on what will be his fifth season with Alianza and will go in search of the long-awaited two-time championship.
What are the requirements to become a national? The stipulated thing is to live two years in a row in the country. The Uruguayan has four consecutive seasons playing in the Peruvian championship. In 2018, he returned from Mexico and signed for Melgar. Since then he has not changed league.
Bustos will be able to count on all his players for the debut of the domestic tournament, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 6 at 3:30 p.m. (Peruvian time) when they visit Sport Boys at the Miguel Grau stadium in Callao.
THE FOREIGNERS OF BUSTS
Two of the players who will occupy a foreigner position this season renewed their contracts with the current League 1 champions. They are Hernán Barcos and Arley Rodríguez. The latter was waiting for Pablo Míguez to get his Peruvian ID in order to be registered and if that had not happened, he had to be loaned as Franco Zanelatto.
Edgar Benítez is another of the foreigners who was in 2021. But the ‘Pájaro’ has a different case, it is that he still has a contract until the middle of this year and Bustos believes that it should be fulfilled. The Paraguayan has experience facing international tournaments and could be of great help.
Pablo Lavandeira and Darlin Leiton are the new reinforcements of Alianza. The first one was on the verge of being nationalized, but in 2020 he left the country to play in the Chilean league and that made all his procedures stop. The Ecuadorian is a bet on the future of the ‘blue and white’ administration and this will be his first challenge away from home.
Alianza Lima was national champion of League 1 2021.
ALLIANCE LIMA 2022
Alianza Lima aims to win again and play a good role in the Libertadores. For this, he has made the decision to maintain the backbone of the squad and reinforce himself in the positions he sees fit. The first to join was Christian Ramos, who came from the César Vallejo University. Then came Pablo Lavandeira and Darlin Leiton.
The transfer market for the ‘intimate’ team is not yet closed, which would have two reinforcements in process. Aldair Fuentes would hit the ‘return’ to Matute after his time in Spanish football. Fuenlabrada has an outstanding debt with Alianza and this would facilitate the negotiation.
The bombshell signing would be Christian Benavente, a Peruvian footballer who plays for Pyramids FC in Egypt. He would be looking for more minutes, because he has not played since February 16, 2021 with Royal Charleroi of Belgium, a team to which he returned after shining between 2016 and 2019.
This was announced by RPP Noticias through its web portal. According to the aforementioned media, the ‘blue and white’ leadership seeks, at least, to sign him for 6 months, during which time he will play the group stage of the Copa Libertadores, a tournament where he has a great debt.
