The Participatory Budget program that began in Tlajomulco since 2011 was relaunched this Monday, January 3, 2022 by the municipal president, Salvador Zamora; This consists of citizens who pay the property tax deciding the infrastructure works or social projects to be executed by the government.
“The Participatory Budget has existed since 2011. Today people have a Regulation that protects different mechanisms, 19 mechanisms of citizen participation that allow people to make decisions in their city together with us who are in charge of the municipality,” said Zamora .
By 2022 the Participatory Budget will have an estimated bag of 50 million pesos (MDP), to execute the most voted works from the following list:

For his part, Omar Cervantes Rivera, Secretary General of the City Council, highlighted that this type of support and discounts support citizens, the discounts on property and water payment taxes during January and February will be 15% off, while in March 10% and April minus five percent.
