The federal government reported yesterday that has deported nearly 4,500 migrants so far in 2021 for crimes such as homicide, money laundering, aggravated kidnapping, robbery, child abduction and arms, drug or human trafficking.
“The National Migration Institute (INM) of the Ministry of the Interior deported 4 thousand 468 foreigners between January 1 and December 20, 2021, for contravening the Migration Law and its regulations, (and) putting at risk national security, “said this institute in a statement.
Of this total of deportees, 4 thousand 56 were accused of homicide, money laundering, aggravated kidnapping, robbery, abduction of minors, arms, drug and human trafficking. What’s more, 490 of them were designated as “sex offenders” in their home nations, indicated the INM.
The INM also expelled 320 people after the “application of technical operational protocols.”
