In addition to our overview of films on TV, we regularly highlight the best film on TV for you, so that choosing a film is even easier. For tomorrow evening (Monday), our TV movie tip is the Dutch crime thriller Penoza: The Final Chapter (2019).
For five seasons, viewers of the series Penoza (2010–2017) were taken on the adventures of Carmen van Walraven (played by Monic Hendrickx), who becomes entangled in the underworld and eventually becomes drug dealer. Just when everything seems to be going well in season five, and Carmen wants to make one last big blow before she stops all illegal trade for good, everything goes wrong.
Penoza: The Final Chapter reveals the ending of Carmen and ends the seven wonderful years that the series has lived. The film was an outright success and achieved the status of Golden Film (100,000 visitors) within a few weeks. Spin-off Doodstil (2020) can now also be seen on NPO Plus.
