Postcard: Mar del Plata put together an agenda of cultural activities with free admission

Mar del Plata is distinguished by its versatility. Although its beaches are its greatest attraction during the summer, it also offers endless activities to fully enjoy. In 2022 the city will receive tourists with a large number of free offers: from live shows, traditional festivals and even extensive gastronomic proposals, which are added to street art.

The portfolio coordinated by Carlos Balmaceda confirmed that there will be daily presentations of theater, dance, circus, talks, puppets and music of all genres, both in emblematic and historical places of the city, as well as in spaces where different gastronomic and recreation.

From Plaza to Plaza

The format that it carried out throughout the year will have an important display of art in all corners of the city, during the summer months, with specific presentations, but also with numerous festivals that will bring together more than one hundred bands and references from all artistic expressions.

This initiative will take place in the most popular squares: Plaza España, Plaza Rocha and Revolución de Mayo, among many others, and the Camet and Primavesi parks, but there will also be shows in the City of Batán, in Laguna de los Padres and Sierra de Los Padres, Chapadmalal station, the Lighthouse, the Port and the Barrio 2 de Abril, among other strategic points in the city.

Another of the areas that this summer will be the protagonist of the Mar del Plata sunsets will be the mythical Torre Tanque -Falucho 995-, in whose adjoining garden 15 musical shows were scheduled, which will take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 19 January and February 18.

Artists and bands such as Edgardo Troiano, London, Nubes, Barakus, Félix Barone Jazz Quinteto, Karina Levine, Out of Control, Reverdeser, Genes, Alejandro Carrara, Despuntando Vicios, Columbia Beatles, Altocamet, Cumbiadellica and La Blues Machine will perform in this space. .

History of a dreamed Mar del Plata

Among the activities scheduled at the Municipal Historical Museum Archive –Villa Miter- is the Cycle of talks “History of the dreamed Mar del Plata”, a proposal organized by the Friends of the Museum Association and which this year celebrates its 16th season. The event will be held every Tuesday in January and February at 7:00 p.m., in Lamadrid 3870, where the stories of the rural productive landscape of the region will be addressed.

Shows to the cap

There will be daily numerous functions of shows with the cap, suitable for the whole family and starring circus companies from Mar del Plata, puppets, clowns and varieties, both in the recovered Palco de los Musicos de Plaza San Martín and in the Canchita de los Bomberos, the Plaza del Agua, Plaza España and the Primavesi Park.
