Who chooses?
At the Sports Gala, the winners are chosen by athletes, coaches and a jury of experts.
Top athletes chose in the athlete categories, coaches cast their vote online for the best coach. The votes of the athletes and coaches count for 50 percent in the result. The votes of the professional jury members determine the remaining 50 percent.
Last year there was no Sports Gala due to the corona virus. Therefore, this election was about performance over the past two years and not the usual twelve months.
