The University of Guadalajara reported that it separated the lawyer José de Jesús Covarrubias Dueñas from his position as a professor at the University Center for Social Sciences and Humanities.
Since November 18 of the current year, Covarrubias Dueñas had been separated from his classes in order to protect the integrity of the university community with which he had contact, while the corresponding investigations are carried out.
After a thorough and respectful investigation of due process, it was determined that Covarrubias Dueñas incurred the grounds for terminating the labor relationship due to harassment and harassment behaviors, provided for in the Federal Labor Law.
Due to this resolution, Since December 9, the definitive termination of employment was finalized for lack of probity and harassment.
With resolutions like this one, the University of Guadalajara reiterates its policy of zero tolerance for gender violence in any of its manifestations.
