Omar Perotti analyzed with Juan Manzur how the funds of the partnership will be returned to Santa Fe after the Court’s ruling

The governor of Santa Fe, Omar Perotti, met this Wednesday with the Chief of Staff of the Nation, Juan Manzur, to ask him that the National Government comply with the provisions of the recent ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice of December 7 that recognizes a debt in favor of that province for the coparticipation. They also reviewed the joint actions that are being developed to combat drug trafficking and insecurity in the Santa Fe territory.

After the meeting this morning at the Casa Rosada, the provincial leader reported that the coordinating minister already instructed the passing of the sentence to the Ministry of Economy, which must carry out compliance with it. “It was a very good meeting. We brought as a province the formal presentation after the Supreme Court ruling to implement compliance. The claim instance exceeds 132 billion pesos ”, explained Perotti.

When the Court’s ruling was known last week, it had been reported that the debt that the National State had to pay reached 86,000 million pesos, which included $ 54,023,114,304 million for one cause, $ 14,036,708,553 for the other and another $ 18,000 million for an identical complaint filed with the Court in 2009. Santa Fe, at that time, recognized that it would claim more than 100,000 million for updates.

The Santa Fe politician pointed out that the ruling of November 24, 2015 “recognized the 120-day period to reach an agreement (of payment), which was not fulfilled because the way in which it was updated (the amount owed) was not established. and that led to the Court having to give a new sentence that includes the update form. ” He later mentioned the “concrete experience in the demand of the province of San Luis, that the Nation complied with National Treasury bonds”, so that this payment is fulfilled.

Regarding the amount he will receive, Perotti said that “it is an important figure but it is not an instance by which the province has 10 years of guaranteed subsistence. The total salary mass of provincial public agents is 400 billion pesos ”. He added that “we feel heard, these funds will return and will be used with infrastructure works as a priority.”

Perotti also confirmed that with Manzur the situation of insecurity and drug trafficking were reviewed, which, quoting President Alberto Fernández, “is an issue that exceeds a city and a province, it is a matter for Argentines.” On Tuesday of this week, Perotti had met with the Attorney General of the Nation, Eduardo Casal, in Rosario, to ask him to strengthen the provincial federal justice. Before, he had agreed with the heads of the provincial legislative blocks and with national deputies and senators from the entire Santa Fe political arc, projects on improvements in the Federal Justice to elevate Casal.
