In addition to two seasons of Tiger King (2020– ), Netflix now comes with another documentary about keeping tigers, Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story. This time it’s not Joe Exotic, but Doc Antle. Antle was previously accused of abusing tigers, but more books about him are now being opened. The trailer can now be seen.
Tiger King featured Antle as one of the private tiger breeders. Almost immediately after the series appeared on Netflix, several women came forward with their stories. Antle would sexually intimidate women. For example, one of his former employees, Barbara Fisher, claims that she and other students felt compelled to sleep with him in order to advance and pursue a career within the company. In addition, Antle would have pressured her to take breast implants, because there is a need for women with sex appeal in the tiger park. Antle denies the allegations, calling Fisher’s claims “gossip.”
Antle previously said he regretted his cooperation with Tiger King. He would have been portrayed incorrectly. For example, Exotic accused him of gassing Tigers to create more space for breeding cubs that are more popular than adult tigers. According to the breeder, none of this would be true.
Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story will be available on Netflix from December 10.
