Historical trip of the kings of Spain to Sweden. It had been 42 years since a Spanish monarch had officially visited the Nordic country.
Felipe VI and Letizia have been received this Wednesday by Kings Gustavo and Silvia in the royal stables, and from there they have paraded in a carriage through the streets of Stockholm to the Royal Palace.
The monarchs have been accompanied by a delegation composed, among others, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares and the Minister of Science and Innovation Diana Morant.
On the agenda, meetings with political and business representatives, or a visit to the Nobel Museum, with an exhibition on Spanish scientists.
This Tuesday, Felipe met with members of the Spanish community residing in Sweden, made up of some twelve thousand people.
