Her older sister, Pauline Chalamet, is making her way on her own – beyond the fame of her last name – in the world of film and television. Since last November 18, he dazzles with his leading role in The sex life of college girls, a new teen comedy series created by Mindy Kaling for the HBO Max platform.
The French-American fiction, which has already premiered its first two episodes, follows four 18-year-olds in their first year of college. They live like roommates in the dormitories of Essex College, in Vermont (USA), and they experience the sexual activity typical of this stage while dealing with different problems and difficulties that university life brings.
Although the characters of The sex life of college girls They share the age range, each one comes from different backgrounds: Kimberly comes from a city in Arizona, where the population is mostly white, and comes to study and work at the same time; Nutley is from New Jersey, of Indian descent, and wants to become a comedy writer; Leighton is a New York student with a more than bright future, but she keeps her homosexuality a secret; and Whitney is the daughter of a Washington senator and a scholarship soccer star who is having an affair with the team’s assistant coach.
The main cast is comprised of Pauline Chalamet as Kimberly, Amrit Kaur as Bela as Nutley, Reneé Rapp as Leighton, and Alyah Chanelle Scott as Whitney. Other stars that also appear are Gavin Leatherwood, Chris Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Renika Williams, Lolo Spencer, Midori Francis, Rob Huebel, Stephen Guarino, Sierra Katow, Sherri Shepherd, among others.

PAULINE CHALAMET, A NEW YOUTH PROMISE
It would be unfair to say that 29-year-old Pauline Chalamet is shining only for being “the sister of”, because she has been looking for a space in the entertainment industry for some time in the face of the overwhelming fame of her brother, Timothée Chalamet (25) , who was nominated for an Oscar for Call Me By Your Name and has recently received critical acclaim for the new adaptation of Dune.
They are both the children of Nicole Flender, a former Broadway dancer, and journalist Marc Chalamet. He started acting since his childhood, in the 90s, with a brief appearance in the series One Life to Live. Several years later, in 2009, he had a stake in an episode of the comedy-drama series Royal Pains. It wasn’t until last year and now that his career has started to take off with more force.

Chalamet made his film debut with the film The King of Staten Island, directed by Judd Apatow, and in November he premiered The sex life of college girls, a teen comedy series created by Mindy Kaling (The Office, The Mindy Proyect) and Justin Noble with five episodes for HBO Max. The first two chapters are available to view on the service streaming since November 18.
It is perhaps the biggest project for actress Pauline Chalamet, who may one day even act in a film production alongside Timothée Chalamet. Their great physical resemblance would also allow them to be brothers in fiction … For now, their upcoming films include Black and White and Red All Over, What Doesn’t Float and the short film After Dark.
