The Expendables 4 (2022) will be Sylvester Stallone’s last film in the action series of the same name. The actor confirms after finishing the shooting that he is ready to pass the baton.
Stallone and colleague Statham have already shared a number of photos and videos from the set of The Expendables 4 in recent weeks. So now those recordings are over. For Stallone, this means that he has had his last Expendable recording day ever, the actor himself announced in a video on Instagram. “It’s time to move on,” Stallone said.
Stallone has been the head of the group of veteran mercenaries in the movies for 12 years. In the video, the actor explains that he is now passing the baton to Jason Statham, so we expect his role in the fourth film to be a lot bigger than usual.
The new action film is this time directed by Scott Waugh, known for Act of Valor (2012) and Need for Speed (2014). In addition to Stallone and Sylvester, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Andy Garcia, 50 Cent, Levy Tran and Randy Couture also pass by. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return has not yet been officially confirmed.
There is no release date for The Expendables 4 yet.
