The singer Camilo Echeverry continues unstoppable in his successful musical career, because after having won 10 nominations at the Latin Grammy, being the favorite for the current edition, he won three Monitor Music Awards at the event that was held this Monday in Miami, United States.
So then, the musician from Antioquia won the awards in the categories for ‘Best pop song in the male category’ for ‘Vida de rico’ and ‘Best bachata song’ for his collaboration with El Alfa on ‘Baby’. Similarly, he won best Christian song for ‘Amen’, which he performs with his wife Evaluna, his father-in-law Ricardo Montaner and his brothers-in-law Mau and Ricky.
In addition, Camilo was the winner of the ‘Claro Music Award’ of the night.

These awards, which recognize the artists of the moment based on the top five of the most listened to Latin songs and artists during the period between November 2020 and last July, also gave other special awards to national music figures.
For example, Colombians Karol G and J Balvin were chosen as the best artists of the year in the female and male categories, respectively. While the award for ‘Best female pop song’ went to ‘No Bailes Sola’, by Danna Paola and Sebastián Yatra. In addition, the best urban theme was the work of Maluma and The Weekend with ‘Hawaii’.
The best popular song in Colombia was for ‘Tu lover’, by Yeison Jiménez, and the best tropical song was’ De vuelpa pa ‘la vuel’, a collaboration between Daddy Yankee and Marc Anthony.
Regarding Mexican sounds, the award for the best regional artist went to Grupo Firme, the best ranchera song was “El Alumno”, by Joss Favela and Jessi Uribe; and the award for the best regional Mexican song went to “Tell me how you want”, by Christian Nodal and Angela Aguilar.
Marco Antonio Solís received an award for his Artistic Mastery, Ricardo Montaner another for his Career, the Mariachi Vargas the Mexican Legacy recognition for its more than 100 years of existence.
On the other hand, Los Ángeles Azules were recognized for their Perseverance, Daddy Yankee was awarded as an Urban Legend, Óscar de León won the León Prize and Rauw Alejandro the Deezer Prize.
During the gala, which had connections in various parts of Latin America, Lunay took the opportunity to premiere his new song “TBC”, as did Natti Natasha with “Short Story” and Rauw Alejandro with “Clouds”.
Meanwhile, El Canario, Oscar de León, Los Adolescentes, Lena, Harel, Frankie Ruiz JR, Mauricio Cachana, Josimar and the Galé Group came together to perform a medley of salsa that enlivened the event.
