The young victim, schoolboy Justin McLaughlin, was found seriously injured on Saturday afternoon at High Street Station in Scotland’s largest city, British media reported. Train traffic was immediately stopped and the station evacuated.

The teen was taken to hospital, but by then it was already too late. The cause of the stabbing is not yet clear. Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for murder. People who were in a passing train have seen Justin. “There was a boy on the platform. There was a lot of blood on his pants,” a witness said on social media. Police hope more witnesses will come forward.
“Our thoughts go out to Justin’s family and friends. This is a shocking loss of life,” investigating inspector Brian Geddes told The Daily Mail. Flowers are laid out at the station. There will be extra patrols in public transport in the coming period, the police announced.
