Will the new, controversial Alzheimer’s drug Aducanumab also be available to patients in Europe and the Netherlands? The European medicine authorities are looking at the drug this month. Dutch experts do not expect that the medicine will be reimbursed and prescribed here.

Too many asylum seekers in emergency shelter Ter Apel
There are structurally too many asylum seekers staying in emergency shelters at the application center in Ter Apel. In that emergency shelter there is room for 125 people, but that number is regularly exceeded. The municipality demands that the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA) takes measures. Some city council members also say they “can no longer handle it locally” and make an appeal to national politics.
