Beth McGrath had devoted nearly five years of her life as a collaborator of the commercial chain Walmart when on September 14 he decided to make his intention to resign more than public in the middle of his workday, taking the speaker of the store to issue a detailed message which quickly went viral.
The events occurred at a Walmart branch in Louisiana (United States), where Mcgrath recorded with his cell phone the moment he used the store’s audio system to notify his decision; visibly nervous she proceeded to share with clients and staff the reasons why I was quitting.
“I wanted to be his voice, he wanted to be my voice”
“Attention, Walmart customers and colleagues, my name is Beth from the Electronics section. I worked for almost five years and I can tell everyone here is overworked and underpaid”, He indicated before proceeding to list the series of nonconformities and mistreatment by the management of the branch.
“To Jarred, our store manager: You are a pervert. Greta and Kathy: What a shame that they treat our associates the way they do. I hope they speak to their families in the same way that they speak to us, ”he stressed.
The material was published on his Facebook account, where it quickly went viral and to which users reacted by expressing their support for the young former Walmart employee, who later thanked the demonstrations of support and stressed that his only intention was to make known to the other employees that he was against injustice and mistreatment by some people.
“I did not record the video influenced by someone else. I recorded it for my co-workers, to let them know that I love them and that I want the best for them. I wanted to be her voice, I wanted to be my voice, ”he explained.
