The recordings of Un hombre de acción, or A Man of Action in English, have started. Netflix announces the good news today and already reveals some first details about the new Spanish film.
The film is based on the true life of Lucio Urtubia, a Spanish mason best known as an anarchist and who went through life as a bank robber and forger. Also known as El Robin Hood, he died in Paris last July. The film shows how he ran a counterfeit currency in Paris that brought him in the sights of America’s largest bank when he managed to get a huge amount of money by counterfeiting traveler’s checks to invest in things he believed in.
Lucio is played by Juan Jose Ballesta. And Miki Esparbé also has a leading role. The shooting takes place in both Spain and France. Un hombre de acción is directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera, who previously made Anacleto: Agente Secreto (2015).
It is not yet known until when the recordings will last and when the Spanish film will appear on Netflix. For now you can visit our overview of the best Spanish movies on Netflix or the best Spanish series on Netflix.
